Don't sit!

We were walking around the ferry building this past weekend and noticed this sign.

Interesting...

The sign was in regards to these historic steps.

To be fair, the original ferry building was finished in 1889. It has undergone a preservation remodel - where they kept cool old stuff and added fun new stuff. Apparently these steps are from 1889. So that's neat. Not sure why it's a big deal if people sit on them...

All I have to say is, "Dear San Francisco, Have you heard of the Spanish Steps?"

They were finished in 1725 and people sit on them all the time. And they are (arguably) more famous and historic than the steps at the ferry building. But that's just my opinion.
