Boy scouts let him down

Nick and some of his friends might go on a fishing weekend trip or something like that.

So I asked him if he knew how to fish. Nope.

Wait.

Isn't this kid an eagle scout?

Doesn't that make him like the top tier of boy scouts?

Don't boy scouts do outdoors-y type stuff?

He knows how to tie weird knots, can basket weave and has a badge in metal working.....all useful skills....but no fishing. I feel like fishing should be on the required badge list. How are these kids suppose to survive in the wild if they can't catch their dinner?

Dad was there to catch the dinner!

Um...since when is basket weaving considered a "useful skill"? I'm pretty sure the Boy Scouts organization needs to re-prioritize it's training program. Hehe!
