You get the idea. While in Reading - 45 minutes outside of London - we stumbled upon a very old church. Est. 979.
The church also had a cemetery with tomb stones that were flat on the ground (vs the ones that stand up). This meant that a lot of the tomb stones had worn away and you couldn't tell what had been engraved on them.
